Organizing Ribbon Easily and Inexpensively

Happy 4th of July crafters!

I wanted to share this neat way of storing and organizing all that tangled up ribbon you may have lying around. I seen this a while back and I thought this is genius! I have a ton of these baskets, which I’ve purchased from Target, and dowels are cheap. So this morning I finally got to this project and put it together, my ribbon was a tangled mess in the previous container! I trimmed the dowels to fit in length wise, put the ribbon on the dowel and wrapped some rubber bands around the ends to keep the dowel from falling out…. and voila!  Ribbon is neat, easy to see, and organized.  You can then feed the ribbon through the holes or just take it from the top, either way its a great way to store it.
